So, I went to FIBDA this past saturday and sunday. I cosplayed on both days, mainly because I didn't want to be in the audience (the place was so shitty and no one could see a thing).

On Saturday I cosplayed as Mulan from the Disney movie. Thanks to everyone who liked it. Unfortunately I don't have many photos. Found this one on animeportugal.net

What the fuck am I doing here? No idea.

And on sunday, I cosplayed as one of my dream costume of all time, Silent Hill Nurse! I didn't win anything, but all the compliments I got from it and all where my favorite prize (didn't mean to sound corny).

My makeup was done by myself and my friends Sara and Catarina!

I come to the conclusion that I hate to work.

Seriously. School work, you name it. I'm lazy as lazy a person can be.

I have tons of papers to do, but I just spent my whole evening looking around stuff on the internet, doing absolutely nothing. I should be working on my cosplay as well, but I'm not in the mood. I skip classes 'cause I don't want to listen to more boring lectures.

And I do notice that October is always a horrible month for me, 'cause I tend to procrastinate more during this time of the year, for some reason.

And, the worst part of it, I feel guilty for all these things. I feel guilty for doing nothing.

I've been telling myself this for some time now, but I need a drastic change, STAT!

My dog Pucca was put down a few days ago because she no longer responded to anything.

I'd post a picture of her but my hard drive went nuts.

And we never knew how old she was, because my parents took her off the streets about 5 years ago.

Today I experienced one of the most frightening things ever. For me, that is.

I heard my dad crying over the phone.

One of my dogs is slowly dying. She had a stroke, and now she pratically doesn't move and doesn't bark anymore. And there's nothing we can do.

And I'm miles and miles away, and I probably won't be able to say goodbye to her.

I need something to do these vacations.

Next weekend, the majority of the people I hang out with are going to Porto, but I'm not going 'cause I'm poor. ~~and i really don't feel like it either~~

I'll probably spend a week in Algarve, to visit my parents who are living near S. Brás de Alportel, but I still don't know if I'll be able to go since my boyfriend has to move in August and I'll have to help him.

And I'm really hoping to go to Tróia again near the end of August but I don't know if the owner wants us there again this year.

And in September college starts again, along with job hunting.

AND IT'S ALREADY THE END OF JULY, DON'T RUN FROM ME SUMMER PLZ.

EDIT: Oh my sweet Jesus, the new Harry Potter movie sucked badly. Even if we see it without thinking about the books, it still sucks. Basically, it's teenage angst plus original scenes that don't add anything to the story whatsoever (OH MY GOD THEY BURNED DOWN THE BURROW WHAT NOW. OH WAIT, LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT THIS FOR THE REST OF THE MOVIE. JUST BECAUSE.) plus a little bit of action near the end of the movie. And Dumbledore's death, ugh. Awful. /end rant

Anyway, it was fun seeing some friends and acquaintances again, even if I left early and missed some people because I was way too tired and my throat hurt. ;_;

I thought the cosplay contest was well put out and organized, but the award winners just made me gag. Seriously. Awful.

Às vezes dou por mim a pensar mesmo o que ando cá a fazer. Não, não tenho quaisquer tendências suicidas nem penso que estaria melhor morta ou alguma coisa do género. Longe disso. Gosto bastante de viver e de tudo o que a vida tem.

Mas de facto às vezes penso no que realmente ando a fazer. Para começar, sou uma pessoa sem qualquer sonho. Todos nós temos um sonho, não é verdade? Nem que seja uma coisa fútil, como ser rico.

Eu não tenho.

Falo todos os dias com pessoas que querem ser músicos reconhecidos, médicos eficientes, artistas famosos e de tudo um pouco. É claro que também há aqueles que tentam tudo por tudo para seguirem o seu sonho, enquanto que outros esperam por uma oportunidade mais propícia.

Eu? Estou de facto a acabar o meu curso de Tradução, com o objectivo, claro está, de ser tradutora. Mas também isto já perdeu o seu brilho, e apenas estou a acabar isto porque enfim... tenho de acabar.

Não tenho sonhos nem objectivos. Também já tive a minha paixão pela música, mas não consegui mais continuar a tocar piano, porque a pessoa que me inspirava para continuar já cá não está. Bom, está... mas depois do AVC já não é a mesma pessoa. Não consigo mais me sentar ao piano e tocar.

Mas também não penso só nas coisas más.

Tenho a minha família, que me dá mais dores de cabeça do que as que tira.

Tenho os meus amigos, uns que acabam por se tornar em pessoas diferentes que não gosto, outros distantes por falta de tempo para falar.

Tenho o meu amor, que é das minhas únicas constantes de momento.

Mas não tenho sonhos. Nem objectivos.

So, yesterday I went to the optician to get my new pair of glasses. They're simple and cool. I'll post a photo someday.

Funny thing is, everyone in the shop wears glasses. All of them. The doctors, the people working behind the counters, even the cleaning ladies.

I wonder if wearing glasses is a necessary thing when applying to work at these places.

Anyway, I've decided on 2 cosplays that I will eventually make during the course of this year, and probably the next one. And maybe the one after that.

Ada Wong from Resident Evil 4 (to commemorate RE5, I cosplay RE4. Cool. XD )

I mean, how cool is she? She goes around shooting things in high heels and in a dress with a slit up to her thigh. Besides, she has no cleavage and her boobs aren't actually that big, so it's an awesome cosplay choice for me. Sexy character with small boobs? I'm so in. And I may be getting a Leon to cosplay with me, which is perfect.

Besides, I loved Resident Evil 4. Great action game, not really that scary except for the Regenerators. Damn, I still have nightmares about them.

Thing is, I'm no good at painting. So, for the butterflies and such on her dress, I would have to hand embroider those suckers or ask someone else to paint them. Yay.

And the other one is:

No good artwork or in-game pics. Oh well.

I can just imagine the headaches I will be having when I end up making that crown or painting/embroidering the vines and the fleurs-de-lis. And the headaches I'll be having when I actually make the gigantic gown.

It's one of my dream cosplays and I really really wanna make it. I've just decided on making it sooner because a friend of mine wants to debut her Beatrix outfit with mine.

We'll see if I have the guts.

And that's it. I just want to clear up some dust and post something here.

These are just some plans. I've been feeling a little tired of cosplay. I mean, there's a ton of characters I'd love to cosplay, but even if I had the means to make them all, I'd never have the time. It's a really time-consuming hobby, and, even though I love it, it gets tiring.

Money is another issue. To make a good cosplay, of course money is going to be spent, and right now I can't afford major expenses. Blah.

And I just noticed, I've only cosplayed 2 anime characters so far. Yoruichi from Bleach (my first cosplay, ugh) and Mamimi from FLCL. The rest of them are videogame characters. Makes sense, since I haven't watched any anime series in a long time. XD

So. I should really go to bed and stop rambling about cosplay (is that the only thing I ramble about in here?).

So, the usual Cosplay Photoshoot at Parque das Nações was last week and it was great! I thanked the heavens for the great weather that day. XD

I went as Alice from the videogame "American McGee's Alice". Only a couple of people recognized it, but they praised it so I'm happy. =) My friend Dark_Light went with an original design of the Queen of Hearts and she looked stunning in it. For me, one of the best cosplays there.

Oh, and I got great photos, so here's some picture spammage.

Need a better wig.

And a better camera as well, too bad some of them weren't that focused.

But, overall, great fun! Loved being Alice.

And with darkicelady 's photo contest, I remembered to take nice photos. XD

After about a year or so of not sewing and not making new cosplays, I started on a new one for the Photoshoot at Parque das Nações. Hurray! It's Alice, it's cool. I'm going with a friend that's making a Queen of Hearts one. I'm looking forward to it.

And me, well, I'm on my between semesters break and have spent most of the days hanging out with the boyfriend, playing videogames, reading, sewing and watching random assorted TV series on television.

Oh, and since I probably won't post in the next 1 month or so, happy Valentine's day! Have a great day, even if you're single. <3

Epá, foi lindo. Ainda bem que só paguei 25 euros porque vi o mesmo que toda a gente ou talvez melhor. XD Tive um momento fangirl quando ouvi o David Hayter com a sua voz de Snake à apresentar o Tommy. Quase que chorei em Metal Gear Solid, ainda fiz continência quando a música acabou.

Quando o Martin Leung apareceu no palco tive outro momento porque já o conhecia do YouTube. As músicas de Final Fantasy tavam lindas, ainda que as pessoas tivessem sempre a aplaudir enquanto ele mudava de música o que resultava em não conseguir ouvir o que ele tava a tocar. -_-

Todas as outras musicas tavam lindas, arrepiei-me com a solista da musica do God of War e adorei o facto de terem acabado com Castlevania. \m/

E pronto, foi isso. Era para fazer cosplay mas a Dark cortou-se e eu fartei-me de estar à espera e acabei por não fazer. Também, para eu demorar 30 minutos para me vestir e depois tar 2 minutos no palco... mais vale tar quieta.

E pronto, para o ano se vierem cá, lá vou eu de novo. :3

There were no memorable freshmen this year. =X I mean, every year there's this one or two freshmen that are funnier and more outgoing than the others, but this year was just... meh. I didn't even go to the godmother/godfather leilão. I'm a awful godmother anyway. D:

Oh lord here we go. From the Final Fantasy series I like: Terra, Locke, Kefka (FF6), Tifa, Yuffie, Vincent (FF7), Freya, Amarant (FF9), Auron and Lulu (FF10). From beat'em up games I like: Iori, Mai, Leona, Kula (KOF), Dizzy, Millia, Faust (Guilty Gear), Xiaoyu, Asuka (Tekken), Ivy (Soul Calibur), Chun-Li and Blanka LOL (Street Fighter). From random assorted games I like: Snake and Big Boss (MGS), Dante (DMC), Heather (SH3) and some more.

Silent Hill series. For real. I bought the first Silent Hill back in 2000 and only last year I did finish it. XD I managed to finish SH3 recently but only because my boyfriend was with me when I played it. Am in the process of finishing SH2.

No, I prize my possessions way too much to do that. XD

57. Do you need to blow/clean certain games to get them to play?
It's been proved that you have to blow on old game cartridges to get them to play. The small amounts of saliva that go into the cartridge when you blow on it act as conductors of whatever's inside. True story. XD

Myeah, a couple. Mainly MGS series.

Yeah. ;_; I used to play Pokemon blue and red.

September's here, which means Summer is over and classes are about to start. How I hate this month. Have to pay my tuition, blargh. Hopefully this will be my last year. not likely since I have credits to finish.

In other news, new layout, new mood theme and all that jazz. Changed the title as well since my boyfriend found it hilarious and called me emo. Bitch.

Finally, it's over. See you again in September, college!

This week was absolutely horrible. I had 3 exams on Wednesday. 3. I started writing in English at 10 a.m, wrote in Portuguese at 12 p.m and ended writing in Spanish at 2 p.m. My brain was literally dead from the exhaustion of thinking in 3 different languages. XD

So far my plans for the summer are:

- staying at my boyfriend's in Lisbon most of the time
- hang out with my friends
- going to the beach once in while
- sleep
- maybe go to some concert if I have the money (not likely)
- be geek with my friends and possibly hopefully play MGS4 ;_;
- start working on my next cosplay and work on my Terra one as well
- sleep a lot
- possibly go to France in August

I really need a good summer. Last one was the shittiest one ever.
